New Orleans Hornets owner Tom Benson officially announced the change of the team’s name to the New Orleans Pelicans during the week. Following the announcement, everyone was quick to let their opinion on the unique name known. Many have joked about the name being less than intimidating, but there are a few who understand the meaning the name would have to the people of New Orleans.

Among those who are not intimidated by the new Pelicans name is Houston Rockets head coach Kevin McHale. During last night’s post game press conference, McHale mocked the new nickname:
