Former USC Recruit Kylie Fitts Commits To UCLA

It has been a rough year on the recruiting trail for USC Trojans head coach Lane Kiffin. The USC recruiting class was once among the best in the nation, but a flurry of recruits that have decided to decommit from the program have Kiffin’s 2013 class drastically falling down the ranks.

One of the most recent players to decommit from the Trojans was four-star defensive end Kylie Fitts.

The 6-foot-4, 260-pound defensive end from East Valley High in Redlands, California has decided to make Kiffin’s pain one notch worse. Not only did he decommit from USC, but he has decided to sign with the crosstown rival UCLA Bruins.

News of Fitts’ decision surfaced on Tuesday nigh, just a few hours before the calendar flipped to February 6 and it was officially National Signing Day.

It is just the latest blow for the Trojans, while UCLA continues to watch their 2013 class improve. According to, Fitts is the No. 9 defensive end in the nation.
