Metta World Peace Suspended One Game For Punching Brandon Knight (VIDEO)

The irony in seeing pictures of Metta World Peace, formerly Ron Artest, getting violent with players with the phrase “World Peace” on the back of his jersey will never cease to be hilarious.

This morning, the NBA announced that Metta World Peace would be suspended one game without pay for sneakily punching Detroit Pistons sophomore point guard Brandon Knight in the face. The Los Angeles Lakers, taking on the Brooklyn Nets today, will be without both him and Dwight Howard. Howard has missed the past couple games with a shoulder injury. Anyways, here’s the play that cost World Peace a game.

Congratulations Metta, that jab cost you about $66,000.
