National Signing Day 2013: Elijah Daniel Flips From Ole Miss to Auburn

The Ole Miss Rebels were off to a great start to National Signing Day when they were able to land the top recruit in the nation, defensive end Robert Nkemdiche.  With Nkemdiched committing to the Rebels, four-star defensive end recruit Elijah Daniel has decided to flip his commitment, but stay in the Southeastern Conference.

Daniel has signed with the Auburn Tigers — giving them a boost to the pass rush that they desperately lacked down the stretch last season.

According to Mike Farrell, National Recruiting Analyst for, the 6-foot-3, 249-pound Daniel is a  “great edge rusher who is awesome at lowering his shoulder to get that outside edge. Very good with the use of his hands.”

Daniel was the No. 8 ranked defensive end recruit and the No. 2 player in the state of Indiana.
