In a small Signing Day twist, 2013 three-star WR/S Trevell Dixon chose to sign with the Nebraska Cornhuskers over the Arizona State Sun Devils, who were named by Dixon as his leader just yesterday. In fact, Dixon committed to the Sun Devils yesterday before flipping to Nebraska. However, the twist is only “small” because reports surfaced yesterday that Dixon could potentially flip to Nebraska, and that’s exactly what happened here.
Dixon also received offers from Arizona, Arkansas, Houston, Illinois, Texas A&M, TCU, Purdue, Tennessee, and Minnesota in his recruitment as a coveted, top-25 recruit in the talented state of Louisiana. A solid three-star guy, Dixon is rated by most publications as one of the top 40 athletes in the class.
Houston, ASU, and Nebraksa all received official visits from Dixon, with the ASU visit coming just this past weekend. Dixon has had a difficult time choosing a program, as he’s decommitted from Nebraska a couple of times in his recruitment. He decommitted in July and then recommitted to the school in late January before suddenly switching sides to the Sun Devils.
His signing with NU has capped off an eventful recruitment for the standout athlete, but now he is securely a Husker and a member of one of the top 25 recruiting classes in the nation in 2013.
