Ray Lewis III Commits to Miami Hurricanes; Follows in Father's Footsteps

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis capped off his impressive NFL career by hoisting the Lombardi Trophy after a Super Bowl XLVII win over the San Francisco 49ers. Now, Lewis is turning his attention to being a father and watching his son compete at the collegiate level.

Lewis’ son, Ray Lewis III, got his college football career underway today when he shipped out his National Letter of Intent on National Signing Day.

It’s no surprise, but Lewis III has decided to follow in his father’s footsteps and commit to the Miami Hurricanes.

“The U” made Lewis’ announcement official with this simple message on Twitter:

Perhaps even better news for the Miami program is that Ray Lewis will be on the sidelines watching his son’s every move. How great of a recruiting tool is it to have Ray Lewis on the sideline? I’d say that’s a great selling point.
