Vanderbilt Recruiting News: Jordan Cunningham Commits To Commodores

The Vanderbilt Commodores football team received a major boost at wide receiver on National Signing Day when four-star recruit Jordan Cunningham committed to the school.

Cunningham was highly recruited in the state of Florida, but he ultimately chose Nashville as his destination.

During his announcement, Cunningham showed an incredible amount of maturity. The Fort Lauderdale native could have chosen a power house football program, but he decided to go for a school that would offer him the chance to excel in the classroom as well. He wanted a school known for their academics because of his plans after football.

Cunningham was also recruited from top institutions like Northwestern and Princeton.  While those schools offer unmatched academics, Vanderbilt brings the perfect combination of football and academics, thanks to being in the Southeastern Conference.

It’s great to see a young man put the academics before his on-field dreams.
