Once you’re done rolling your eyes over the fact that
weather men weather terrorists have begun naming winter storms in an effort to make us terrified of the fluffiest stuff on earth, you’d better check your local listings as the times of some sporting events have changed. Thanks to the Snow-pocalypse Nemo, the NHL has rescheduled Saturday’s game between the Boston Bruins and Tampa Bay Lighting.
Nemo is expected to reach the Northeast this weekend and already almost 3,000 flights in and out of the area have been cancelled. The game was originally scheduled for 1pm ET but has been moved back to 7pm ET as to allow Bostonians the opportunity to brave blizzard conditions in the dark.
The National Hockey League and the Boston Bruinshave announced that the start time for the Bruins/Lightning game on Saturday, February 9 has been moved to 7 p.m. at the TD Garden due to the weather.
The game was originally scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 9 at the TD Garden.
The Bruins will not have a morning skate prior to the game. Pregame media availability for both teams will be determined on Saturday and will be communicated to the media as soon as the timing is confirmed.
Nemo is something people are taking very seriously, as the Tampa Bay Lighting flew right from New Jersey after their game on Thursday with the Devils into Boston as to avoid hangups with the storm.
