Pacers’ Tyler Hansbrough throws down Raptors’ Jonas Valancuinas (Video)

During the fourth quarter of a close-contested Toronto Raptors versus Indiana Pacers game yesterday, Pacers’ Tyler Hansbrough made a dirty play on Raptors’ rookie Jonas Valancuinas.

At the 7:54 mark in the quarter, you see Valancuinas position himself for a rebound as Rudy Gay shots the bucket. The shot was good by Gay, however you see Hansbrough grab Valancuinas throwing him to the ground. The game went on and the officials didn’t call for a foul, much less a flagrant.

Fortunately Valancuinas got up and ran to the other side of the court. However he was holding onto his hand. Shortly after he was forced to leave the game to receive treatment. Nonetheless, Valancuinas came back into the game late in the quarter with his hand wrapped around in a bandage.

The question now is whether or not the league will take action against this. Perhaps a fine or possible suspension. However it is doubtful. However it looks like the Raptors got the last laugh as Rudy Gay hit a game winning shot in overtime.
