The Buffalo Sabres had a 3-2 lead over the Pittsburgh Penguins in the third period after overcoming a 2-0 deficit. Unfortunately for the Sabres, they were unable to hold on to the lead, which was their third loss in the past four games.
After the game, Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller sounded off on the loss and he was clearly unhappy with the team’s collapse.
Miller furious at team failing to hold lead, as he should be. At least get it to OT. Drops couple f-bombs. #sabres

“Just either not confident enough or experienced enough in the third period with the lead and that burned is. It’s not acceptable,” Miller said.
Miller’s teammate, Steve Ott, who scored Buffalo’s go-ahead goal in the third, also sounded off on the loss but he was a lot more composed than Miller.
“I like the determination of the guys to come back and battle and continue to push, push, push. But at the end of it all, we’d be a lot happier with the two points that we deserve to be walking out with,” Ott said, per the Buffalo News.
