Kobe Bryant’s competitive nature kicked into high gear down the stretch of the 2013 NBA All-Star Game and the Los Angeles Lakers star made two big defensive plays on Miami Heat superstar LeBron James.
It was Bryant’s first block of James that all but sealed the deal for the Western Conference in their 143-138 win over James and the East.
Here is video of the block:
While it was surely a great satisfaction for Bryant to block James, it is meaningless in the big picture. LeBron, who has been playing out of this world during his recent stretch, shot a miserable 25 percent from the field during the all-star game. If Bryant wants to make a meaningful block, he needs to get the Lakers into the playoffs and have a showdown for it all with James and the Heat.
