It hasn’t been easy being a Buffalo Sabres fan and the team continues to disappoint with their latest 2-1 loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday. During the team’s loss, fans let the Sabres hear their unhappiness as they showered Buffalo with boos. After the game, goalie Ryan Miller, who hasn’t been shy about voicing his opinion in the past, said that the Sabres deserved every single boo that the received from the fans.
“We’re not playing the caliber of hockey this city deserves,” Miller said, per John Vogl of the Buffalo News. “We deserve to get booed. They just want you to work hard. They just want you to give them something to cheer about. We’ve been letting them down.”
Vogl also reported that the Sabres had a closed-door meeting following their second disappointing loss that lasted 15-minutes.
While the fans are unhappy with their team’s performance, they should find comfort in the fact that the Sabres appear to be every bit as upset about their disappointing season as the fans are.
