What are the odds we hear "Bama has such a pathetic and easy schedule. How do they get so lucky? The SEC loves them, blah blah blah" like we had to listen to about UGA last year? Oh wait, i forgot, Mark Richt doesn't give reach-arounds to ESPN like Saban.

Missouri played them for the first time this year at home. They mopped the grid iron with us. When you are that good, everyone else looks really bad. They were awesome to watch!

Articles like this are absurd, you just can't base how difficult a teams season will be on an objective qualifier like that. For instance, Georgia's "easy" strength of schedule ignores the fact that 3 of their first 4 games are against Clemson, South Carolina, and LSU. No team in the entire country has a tougher first month of the season. Stumble in that first month, and it really doesn't matter how "easy" the rest of the season is, the damage is done.

I think that Alabama wants to be recognized among the elite in the country, they should have to play an elite schedule. You can't whip up on some cream puffs and then play one or two excellant teams in the SEC and expect to be recognized as an elite team every year when other teams out there play elite teams week in and week out.
