The Atlanta Hawks are working on making one of the bigger trades before the trade deadline that will include star forward Josh Smith. There have been talks that the team prefers to move Smith to the Western Conference, but now it appears that they may be sold on the Milwaukee Bucks deal — which many consider to be the best.

According to Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski, the Hawks and Bucks are engaged in ‘serious talks’ for the star player. Here are the details of Wojnarowski’s report:

The Bucks are also said to have a deal in place with the Dallas Mavericks for Beno Udrih, but the deal is on hold in case Milwaukee needs to ship Udrih to Atlanta as part of the deal for Smith.

Also, don’t be surprised to see the Bucks make a serious run at Orlando Magic guard J.J. Redick.
