The Boston Celtics have made no secret about the fact that they are looking for guard help after losing Rajon Rondo and Leandro Barbosa to torn ACL’s. In fact, it is being reported that they have made rookie center Fab Melo available as trade bait in an effort to land help in the backcourt.
One of the players that the Celtics are interested in is a player they have made a run at in the past — Sacramento Kings point Guard Tyreke Evans.
Per ESPN’s Marc Stein:

Sacramento had previously rejected any offers for Evans, but that is all changing today with the trade deadline approaching. They are at least willing to listen to offers, but it seems highly unlikely that Evans will be traded. In fact, Jason Jones of the Sacramento King Bee says that a source told him Evans would not be moved.
