Hot of the news that the Milwaukee Bucks are involved in “serious talks” with the Atlanta Hawks for star forward Josh Smith, there is a bit of news surfacing that could show a growing belief by Milwaukee that they are set to land Smith.
Per Ken Berger of CBS Sports:
Bucks “keep upping the ante” in pursuit of J.J. Redick, source says. Could mean confidence growing that they will land Josh Smith.

The Bucks are reportedly “upping the ante” for Orland Magic shooting guard J.J. Redick. Redick was believed to be a target for the Bucks if they lost Monte Ellis before the trade deadline. Ellis would be part of the Smith deal with Atlanta, so you can see why the Bucks aggressive late push at Redick leads many to believe that they could be considered the favorite to land J-Smoove.
If Milwaukee could land Smith and Redick, it is safe to call the trade deadline a success for the Bucks.
