Darrelle Revis, New York Jets Relationship Continues to Sour

The New York Jets and star cornerback Darrelle Revis could soon be parting ways, but if Revis is to stay on the roster things will get very interesting in The Big Apple. Trade rumors have been swirling and there is even talk that the Jets were shopping Revis at the 2013 NFL Scouting Combine and it has done nothing to help the relationship between the two sides.

While the relationship is already going south, Gary Myers of the New York Daily News is reporting that things are only going to get worse.

“I think it’s going to get ugly, very ugly. You can’t trade your best player,” a NFL source said, according to Myers. “You do everything to keep him. It’s going to get ugly with the player and the agent. I don’t know how you get around it. It’s very difficult.”

If the relationship continues to sour, the Jets may have no choice but to trade their best player who is set to become a free agent in 2014.

As for potential suitors for Revis’ services, the Atlanta Falcons and San Francisco 49ers are two of the teams being named.

Will Revis get traded? We will have to wait and see. But one thing is for sure: the Revis – Jets drama is just getting started and things could be getting really ugly between the two sides.
