The NFL Franchise Tag deadline is approaching and the Tennessee Titans are expected to place the tag on tight end Jared Cook on Monday. The franchise tag number for tight ends this season stands at $6.066 million, but Cook is expected to fight for the wide receiver number of $10.537 million with the help of the NFL Players Association.

Last season, Cook lined up on the outside an impressive 67 percent of his snaps.

Cook was unhappy with his role in the Titans offense last season and even requested a trade at one point during the year. With the Titans looking to use the franchise tag on Cook, it is looking like he will be a much bigger part of the offense moving forward.
