Pittsburgh Penguins star Evgeni Malkin returned to the team’s lineup on Monday night against the Tampa Bay Lightning and he showed no symptoms of the concussion that kept him out of action for the past week.
If there was any doubt that Malkin wasn’t ready to get back on the ice, he erased those concerns with a beautiful goal in the third period.
Malkin made an incredible move to beat Lightning goalie Anders Lindback and he showed the entire NHL world that the league’s reigning MVP and scoring champion is back.
Here is Malkin’s goal of the year candidate:
He looks perfectly fine to me and he’s already back at the top of his game.
