Pittsburgh Penguins center Evgeni Malkin returned to the ice for an optional practice on Sunday and, in a somewhat surprising move, Malkin is already returning to the active lineup. It will be the first time Malkin returned to action since suffering a concussion in the team’s win against the Florida Panthers a week ago.
The team followed proper NHL protocol and Malkin passed all of the evaluations include an ImPACT neurocognitive test.
Malkin passed ImPACT test and will play tonight!!!!

In Malkin’s absence, the Penguins were 2-2.
They will happy to see the return of the defending NHL scoring champion and MVP to their lineup.
The Penguins will take on the Tampa Bay Lightning tonight at the Consol Energy Center.
