During an appearance on SportsCenter, ESPN’s Ed Werder reported that the Baltimore Ravens are unlikely to re-sign linebacker Paul Kruger in a decision that will allow him to test the free agency market.

“The Ravens have pretty much resigned themselves to the likelihood that he’s going to play for another team,” Werder said. “And they drafted Courtney Upshaw last year to play that same position.”

While Kruger isn’t an elite pass rusher in the eyes of many talent evaluators and teams around the league, he led the Ravens in sacks last season. Kruger may not get a major pay day in free agency, but he will certainly attract some interest from teams in need of a solid and reliable pass rusher.
