Alabama Pro Day: Eddie Lacy Will Not Work Out Due to Injury

The top running back in the 2013 NFL Draft class, Alabama Crimson Tide star Eddie Lacy, will be unable to show off his skills for NFL scouts at the school’s Pro Day on March 13. Lacy has been nursing a hamstring injury and he is still not 100 percent. The wise move is to wait.

Fortunately for Lacy, NFL teams are starting to value Pro Days less and less as they put more of a focus on individual workout, so he will still have time to shine before April’s draft. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, Lacy will be the first running back off the board — likely in the first half of the second-round.

Lacy’s injury is starting to become a concern in league circles, but the rest should benefit him in the long run as he prepares to make the jump to the pros.
