The Atlanta Falcons continue to focus on re-signing their own free agents and offensive tackle Sam Baker becomes the latest player to re-sign with the team. Baker was one of the better offensive tackles available on the free agent market. Atlanta did not want to risk losing Baker in free agency, so they decided to act quickly and aggressively in an effort to lock up Matt Ryan’s blindside protector for the long-term.

Per Alex Marves of FOX Sports:

It is a six-year deal for Baker.

Baker becomes the fourth Falcons free agent to re-sign with the team. He joins safety William Moore, cornerback Brent Grimes and offensive guard Garrett Reynolds back in Atlanta.

You have to love the Falcons approach of re-signing their own.
