It may not go down as one of the  most notable signings of the free agency period, but it could turn out to be one of the best. Former Houston Texans h-back James Casey has agreed to a three-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Here is the report:

Honestly, this is one of my favorite signings of the day and it makes me giddy thinking about how great Casey can be in Chip Kelly’s offense. Casey will be able to line up at both tight end and fullback and be a key contributor from either position.

It truly is a perfect fit.

The 28-year-old joined the league as a fifth-round pick of the Houston Texans in the 2009 NFL Draft.
