Pittsburgh Steelers Expected to Sign Plaxico Burress

Stop me if you have heard this one before: the Pittsburgh Steelers have signed wide receiver Plaxico Burress to a one-year deal. And, no, this isn’t the year 2000. The Steelers are just desperately in need of wide receiver depth, with Mike Wallace leaving in free agency, and Burress will come very cheap at the veteran minimum. Jason La Canfora was first to report the news:

Burress made almost no impact last season, but he won’t be asked to be a dynamic player. He will just need to fill the role of a reliable veteran who could use his size as a threat in the red zone.

He was only there for 4 games. he was inactive for a couple and was not givien much time one the field, plus he did not know the offense well, what did you expect? He will have a full off season, training camp, and pre-season to learn the offense and be a big red zone threat for the team.
