The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have been busy wining and dining the top free agent safety on the market — former San Francisco 49ers safety Dashon Goldson. Tampa Bay flew Goldson down to Florida the opening night of free agency and a deal was a formality at that point.
Former 49ers S Dashon Goldson agreed to terms on a five-year deal with Tampa Bay. Really. We’re sure.

Now it will be interesting to see if the Buccaneers go and try to finish a trade for New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis to really boost the level of talent in the secondary. The addition of Goldson does enough to improve the defensive backfield, but adding Revis to the mix would take everything to a new level.
