Veteran free agent defensive end John Abraham is currently in Foxborough, Massachusetts and has a visit with the New England Patriots lined up for Friday morning. The former Atlanta Falcon has received surprisingly little interest so far in the free agency period, but now his market is starting to heat up.
Abraham would give the Patriots a veteran leader at a relatively reasonable price tag.
The former top fifteen selection of the New York Jets has 122 career sacks to go with 44 forced fumbles and an interception. Just a season ago, he racked up ten sacks.
Abraham still has a little left in the gas tank and could give the Patriots a solid level of production for the next year or two if they monitor his snacks and bring him in on passing downs as a specialist.
Former Arizona Cardinals safety Adrian Wilson will also be in town for a visit with the team.
