It should come as no surprise, but the Arizona Cardinals will be parting ways with overpaid quarterback Kevin Kolb by 4:00 p.m. ET today. Kolb is set to earn a roster bonus on Saturday, so the team needed to act quickly and decide whether or not they wanted him under center in 2013.

After signing Drew Stanton in free agency, the door was all but shut on Kolb’s return to the team.

With Kolb soon on the open market, the New York Jets are a team to watch. New York has been linked to Kolb and there have been numerous rumors surfacing that the team is willing to give him a chance to become their starting quarterback next season.

When you are looking to Kevin Kolb to solve your quarterback woes, you know you have some serious issues.

Expect Kolb to hit the open market in the next few hours and it would not be a surprise if he wasn’t out of work for long.
