Atlantic 10 Tournament 2013: Saint Louis Earns Championship Berth Win Over Butler

The Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York was host to the Atlantic 10 conference tournament and the championship was held on Saturday afternoon. Dwayne Evans was the star of the show with a 24-point, 11 rebound performance that helped lift the Billikens to a 67-56 win over the Butler Bulldogs. With the win, Saint Louis earns a place in the Atlantic 10 tournament title game.

It was the third win for Saint Louis over Butler this season.

Saint Louis now waits for the winner of the VCU vs. Massachusetts game. The Billikens will take on the winner in Sunday afternoon’s championship game.

Butler is expected to leave the Atlantic 10 for the new Big East conference — this was not the type of goodbye they were hoping for.

The complete field of tournament participants will be announced on Selection Sunday just over twenty four hours from now.
