The North Carolina A&T Aggies are going dancing. After taking down the Morgan State Bears, 57-54, North Carolina A&T has earned the MEAC conference tournament title and got the honor of cutting down the nets at the Norfolk Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia. Not only do the Aggies get to cut the nets down for their conference title, but it symbolizes their automatic bid and berth into the 2013 NCAA Tournament.
It is North Carolina A&T’s first MEAC title since 1995.

Adrian Powell was key for the Aggies down the stretch as he blocked the potential game-tying three point shot. He finished with 14 points on the night and the two free throws that took the Aggies lead to three points with a few seconds remaining.
North Carolina A&T will be one of the teams involved in the opening round of the tournament, but don’t expect them to make much noise.
However, for a team that wouldn’t have imagined they would be able to take part in March Madness, just making the tournament and having one game is a dream come true.
While the speculation is nice, the complete field of tournament participants will be announced on Selection Sunday less than twenty four hours from now.
