The UFC 158 main event between welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and Nick Diaz was highly anticipated and the bout turned out to be a solid showing between the two fighters. St-Pierre’s wrestling was the big difference in the fight, but Diaz’s awkward scrambling and ‘Stockton Slap’ boxing kept the champion out of his rhythm.

After the bout, Diaz hinted at retirement, but it would be a shame to see him walk away from the sport at this stage in his career. Despite being outwrestled, Diaz gave St-Pierre all he could handle in the final rounds and really wore down the champion. It was just too little, too late.
