The UFC 158 main event between welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre and Nick Diaz was highly anticipated and the bout turned out to be a solid showing between the two fighters. Despite the animosity leading up to the fight, GSP and Diaz embraced after the bout and Diaz raised his opponents hand in victory.

St-Pierre’s wrestling was the big difference in the fight, but Diaz’s awkward scrambling and ‘Stockton Slap’ boxing kept the champion out of his rhythm.

Both men fought to the bitter end and, despite losing the bout, Diaz took the champion into some of the deepest waters he has ever seen.

After the bout, Diaz hinted at retirement, but it would be a shame to see him walk away from the sport at this stage in his career. Despite being outwrestled, Diaz gave St-Pierre all he could handle in the final rounds and really wore down the champion. It was just too little, too late.

Nick Diaz should leave for sure. He is a disredpectful fighter and does not diserve the UFC. as far as gsp’s future fights i think he should take on anderson although i think that will result in george’s third lose

I’m glad GSP won…and agree with keaton; Nick Diaz has a foul mouth & the most disrespectful behavior in all of UFC. He should be fined for his unsportsmanlike conduct every time he displays it…language, cheating, etc. There is no good reason for a true athlete to act like Diaz does & he couldn’t even back up his poor conduct in the ring. YEAH GSP!!!!!

Diaz brought GSP into deepest waters he has ever seen???…looked like a shallow water for GSP i think..Diaz wasn’t a big challenge for GSP!!! Where was the boxing skills Diaz boasting about??? Do you see it?? I see GSP’s left jabs, straights and hooks and superman punch busting Diaz’s face. Diaz’s boxing is not impressive his punches are wide…and how about his jiujitsu??? didnt work right??..GSP outwrestled Diaz?? of course this is MMA (MIX Martial Arts)..GSP is a wholelistic fighter and has class unlike Diaz who cant walk the talk..and he wants a rematch?? huh!!
