The Houston Texans flew free agent safety Ed Reed in to town for a private visit last week and wined and dined him throughout his two day visit with the team. Reed left for a previous engagement without a contract, but that does not mean the team is giving up on their pursuit. Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said at the owners meetings in Phoenix, Arizona that the team is still ”very much involved” in with the future Hall of Famer.
“He’ll take his time to do the right thing, but we’re very much involved. No panic from any standpoint.” Kubiak on S Ed Reed #TexansRadio

Losing Reed would be the latest blow to the Baltimore Ravens defense that has already lost defensive leader Ray Lewis to retirement and linebackers Paul Kruger and Dannell Ellerbe to free agency.
The Texans offer has not been exactly what Reed was hoping for, so there is still a possibility that he could return to Baltimore… at least that is what the Ravens are hoping for.
