The Alabama Crimson Tide will open the 2015 college football season at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas in the Cowboys Classic. Since 2009, the Cowboys Classic puts together non-conference opponents in clash to start the year.
It will be Alabama’s second year in the game. This season, the Crimson Tide thrashed the Michigan Wolverines, 41-14, to start their journey to the national title game.
But who will be Alabama’s opponent for 2015?
The Crimson Tide will face off against Wisconsin Badgers in the 2015 Cowboys Classic. A formal agreement has been reached, and an official announcement came today.
Reports of the potential match up originally came at the beginning of the year.
With the Alabama – Wisconsin game becoming official, it will only be the second time the two sides have matched up against each other on the gridiron. The first meeting between ‘Bama and Wisconsin came all the way back in 1928. Alabama fell to the Badgers, 15-0.
