California vs. UNLV Result: Golden Bears Upset Rebels, 64-61, in NCAA Tournament

We all love March Madness because of the opportunity for upsets. There is no more exciting and action-packed weekend in sports than the first few rounds of the NCAA Tournament and Thursday’s full slate of games was no exception.

In an evening game at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California, the No. 12 California Golden Bears were able to edge the No. 5 seed UNLV Rebels, 64-61, and take another step forward in the East Region.

Cal was led by guard Allen Crabbe, who was the games highest scorer with 19 points. Crabbe added 8 rebounds and 5 assists to help the Rebels advance to the round of 32 on Saturday.

The Golden Bears will meet the winner of tonight’s match up against the No. 4 seed Syracuse Orange and No. 13 seed Montana Grizzlies.
