Just how good is South Carolina Gamecocks defensive end Jadeveon Clowney? Really freaking good. Clowney is a player that everyone’s eyes will be on this season while he looks to put together a season worthy of becoming the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. While he prepares for the season, Clowney is already making incredible plays.
Today, during spring practice, Clowney lined up to block a field goal and he did just that.
It is no surprise that Clowney got the block, but they way he accomplished it is what has got the Internet buzzing.
According to an eye witness report from practice, Clowney blocked the field goal by kicking the ball out of the holder’s hands. How incredible is that?
Per Chris Clark of Gamecock Centrail:
Clowney just blocked a field goal by kicking it out of the holder’s hand. I’m serious.

Dear lord, I hope we can find this video.
Clowney is simply incredible. Barring a serious injury, there is very little doubt that the star defensive end will be a top three pick in the draft next year and likely even the top pick. He’s an absolute freak and one of the best NFL prospects to come along in quite some time.
If Clowney is already pulling off plays like this in spring practice, we can’t wait to see what he does when the regular season begins.
