UFC on FOX 7 has lost an exciting fight after it was announced late on Thursday night that British welterweight Dan Hardy was forced out of his fight with Matt Brown due to an injury, but Brown already has a new replacement for his fight on pril 20 in San Jose.
Former Strikeforce vet Jordan Mein will step in for the injured Hardy.
Mein is just 23-years-old, but he has a wealth of experience inside the cage. Mein has 35 fights on his resume and his biggest win came at last weekend’s UFC 158 event where he was able to take down Dan Miller and extend his winning streak to three. He looked phenomenal as he easily disposed of Miller and became the first man to stop the New Jersey native in his mixed martial arts career.
Brown vs. Mein should be a highly entertaining battle that will give the young Canadian a chance to continue his hot streak and climb the ladder in the UFC.
For Hardy, we hope he makes a speedy recovery and continues his comeback soon.
