With the win, the Blue Devils advance to the next round of the tournament where they will face the winner of the Creighton vs. Cincinnati match up. Duke will be heavily favored to advance to the Sweet 16.
Albany had a spirited effort despite being clearly outmatched on the court, but they leave the tournament with nothing to be ashamed of. The team never gave up even though they were struggling to keep pace with Duke.
