The Cleveland Browns have been looking to add some competition for you quarterback Brandon Weeden and they were able to do just that on Tuesday night with the addition of Jason Campbell. Campbell is one of the better back ups in the league, so he will be able to provide the Browns with a comfortable situation in case Weeden struggles and also some competition to push Weeden during camp.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter passed along the news:
Browns signed former Bears QB Jason Campbell.

It was already believed that back up Colt McCoy would be on his way out in Cleveland and the signing of Campbell all but seals the former Texas Longhorns stars fate. Hopefully the Browns part ways with McCoy sooner rather than later so that he is given a good chance to find a new job.
As for Weeden, it will be interesting to see how he handles a more established veteran with starting experience behind him on the depth chart, pushing him and breathing down his neck.
There is certainly not a quarterback controversy in Cleveland at this time, but it could all change when the season rolls around and Weeden begins to struggle.
