Alabama to Host Mal Moore Memorial on Thursday

The University of Alabama is set to memorialize former athletic director Mal Moore who passed away at age 73 over the weekend after a battle with pulmonary problems. Alabama will host a ”Celebration of Life” on Thursday, April 4, at the Coleman Coliseum on campus.

Moore was the school’s athletic director for 14 years before stepping down from the position on March 20 due to his health problems.

The service will be open to the public and will begin at 3 p.m.

Further details will be announced as they becoming available, according to the university’s press release.

Moore’s family has requested donations be sent to the following organizations, instead of receiving flowers or gifts:
