GIF: Uriah Hall KOs Bubba McDaniel on The Ultimate Fighter

On the latest episode of The Ultimate Fighter season 17, Team Sonnen’s Uriah Hall continued to strike fear in the eyes of his competition with yet another stunning knockout victory that left his opponent crumbling to the ground. The latest victim was Bubba McDaniel of Team Jones.

It was clear from the beginning of the episode that McDaniel wanted nothing to do with the Hall fight and he was mentally checked out before it even began.

When you go into a fight without full focus, you are doomed — especially when your opponent is Uriah Hall.

As you would expect, Hall quickly disposed of McDaniel and advanced to the semifinals where he will face off against Dylan Andrews.

Just how devastating was the straight right that ended Bubba’s run in the competition? Have a look at his eye:

The only question remaining is, how far can Uriah Hall go after this competition? If he is able to get through his next opponents, should he get a crack at a top ten middleweight on the roster or should the organization bring him up a little slower?

Based on Sherdog’s rankings, a top 10 fighter would be someone like Costas Philippou, Tom Boetsch, or Hector Lombard. I’d be down with Boetsch or Lombard for Uriah.

    • Josh Sanchez

Costas vs. Hall would be a really fun match up stylistically.

        They fought already

Yes, but he is on a roll now

And the first fight was a majority decision. Good time for a rematch is if he wins TUF

  • Thomas Ruffin

He’s already lost to costas via decision so a rematch sounds fair… Hall was beat by weidman in the first round so I wouldn’t shoot him to the top just yet, but so far he’s been vicious on tuf.. If he wins it all with the same devastation, he might deserve a huge fight out of the gate

This kid is exactly what the UFC needed in the middleweight division. With Silva on his way out, a dynamic younger guy who looks to finish fights on the feet. Lombard is older and overrated. I’d love for him to eventually get another crack at Weidman once that hype train inevitably derails.
