NFL Draft 2013: Arthur Brown Continues to Rise Up Boards

Kansas State Wildcats linebacker Arthur Brown has been a favorite of mine throughout the 2013 NFL Draft season and you have probably noticed he is regularly making an appearance in the first-round of my NFL Mock Drafts. Brown’s talent and skill set is incredible and he has been flying under the radar from the mainstream media draft sources, but that is all changing.

According to NFL Draft insider Tony Pauline, Brown continues to shoot up draft boards and he is beginning to look more like a first-round pick.

Pauline wrote:

Brown has been on a straight shot north since his outstanding pro-day performance.  Factor in the sliding draft stock of Kevin Minter/LSU and Manti Te’o/Notre Dame and Brown is looking more and more like a top 32 pick.

The only negative for Brown throughout the draft process has been the shoulder injury that kept him from participating in the Senior Bowl back in January. If Brown would have been healthy enough to participate, there is little doubt that he would be in the discussion as a top fifteen pick.

Brown is incredibly versatile and plays with unrivaled aggression.

That combination would allow him to play multiple linebacker positions and improves his value for NFL teams. If you are looking for a 4-3 weakside linebacker, Brown is your guy. How about a player that can hold up at the inside linebacker position? Brown is your guy.

When the draft rolls around later this month, Brown could be a name that comes off the board much earlier than expected and surprises some of the observers that are not aware of his rising stock.
