The Detroit Lions have three major areas of need that they could address with their top pick in the 2013 NFL Draft — offensive tackle, defensive back and defensive end. Detroit currently sits at the No. 5 in the draft order and a number of top prospects that fill their needs will be on the board when the Lions are on the clock.
With a lot of options ahead of them, the Lions are bringing in prospects for their pre-draft visits and doing their due diligence to see which player will help the team the most.
Per NFL Draft insider Tony Pauline:
DeMarcus Milliner/CB/Alabama in the Motor City today meeting with the Detroit Lions…

Milliner is the top defensive back prospect in the 2013 NFL Draft class and has been mocked to the Lions on numerous occasions. He would be a great addition to the Lions defensive backfield and give them a potential shut down corner.
Ultimately, I would expect the Lions draft choice to come down to three players — Milliner, Central Michigan OT Eric Fisher and BYU DE Ezekiel Ansah.
