When the fine folks from Breaking Bad were making the rounds leading up to season five of the series, Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan had hinted that there were some talks about a potential spin-off show featuring slimy lawyer Saul Goodman, who is played by Bob Odenkirk.
Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan had said:
“I think a Saul Goodman show could have great legs,” he told EW. “I love the idea of a lawyer who will do anything to avoid going to court. He’s always going to settle on the courthouse steps.”
We now know that potential talks for a Saul Goodman spin-off are in the works and that half-hour and hour long formats have been discussed.
The only concern of a potential spin-off that has surfaced is the questioning of what happens if Saul dies during Breaking Bad. If that is the case, we can expect a humorous prequel to take place that will show us the ins and outs of America’s favorite fictional slime ball.
Of course, everything is still in the early stages, so we need to be sure that we don’t get our hopes up too much.
But if the spin-off does come to fruition, it has the makings of a hit show.
