Tennessee Volunteers wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson is an intriguing prospect that many have placed in the first 32 picks of the 2013 NFL Draft, but the closer that we get to draft day the less likely it appears that Patterson will be a first-round pick.
A lot of buzz in the scouting community is that Patterson performed very poorly during team interviews throughout the draft process and that is causing him to slide out of the first-round discussion.
He has shown an inability to learn new offenses and that has raised a lot of concern moving forward.
There are also injury concerns.
It would certainly be a surprise to see Patterson fall out of the first-round after all of the hype that has been surrounding him over the past few months, but you need to perform well and impress teams during your one-on-one interviews if you want your draft stock to hold up. Patterson has failed to do that.
It will be interesting to see where Patterson lands on draft day, but the most recent buzz makes it appear that he could fall much further than anticipated.
