As the PGA Tour gets ready to tee it up for The Masters on Thursday morning, the NBA season is winding down and quickly approaching time for the playoffs. It turns out, 2012 Masters Champion, and star of Golf Boys 2.0, Bubba Watson is an NBA fan, and from the looks of this tweet, a Los Angeles Clippers fan. The other team in Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Clippers are in somewhat uncharted waters as the 2012-2013 season comes to the end. They are leading the Pacific Division of the Western Conference, and at 51-26 on the season, with five games left, have already clinched a playoff berth. They are on a two game winning streak, and are looking to go into the playoffs as more than likely, a number four seed. Their cross-town rivals, the Lakers, are struggling to make the playoffs this year.

With powerhouse, Oklahoma City, and perennial playoff staple, San Antonio, the Clippers will have a tough road if they want to win a title this year, and then there’s Miami. But at least the buzz this year in LA is about Chris Paul, Blake Griffin, and the Clippers, not the Lakers.

I have to wonder if this is what NBA Commissioner, David Stern had in mind when he put the nix on a trade at the start of last season that would have sent star point guard Chris Paul to the Lakers, and re-routed him to the Clips. You have to almost speculate, that had the Lakers gotten CP3 instead of former Orlando Magic Center, Dwight Howard, their positions would be reversed, and the Clippers would once again be on the outside looking in.
