The 2013 Masters got underway on Thursday at Augusta National and we already have made some history. On the No. 6 hole, Jamie Donaldson was able to nail a hole-in-one to become the first golfer to score an ace on the No. 6 hole since Leland Gibson achieved the feat back in 2004.
It is only the fifth-time in Masters history that a hole-in-one has been scored on the sixth-hole.
It will be a moment in Donaldson’s career that he will never forget, regardless of the outcome of his 2013 Masters campaign.
Here is the company that Donaldson has joined as golfers to score an ace on the No. 6 hole:
Leland Gibson, 1954
Billy Joe Patton, 1954
Charles Coody, 1972
Chris DiMarco, 2004
Jamie Donaldson, 2013
Congrats to Donaldson for joining an exclusive club.
He currently sits three shots back of leader David Lynn at one-under par.
If anyone has video of the hole-in-one, please send it my way so we can include the video in this post. You can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
