Shortly after the Louisville Cardinals were victorious in the 2013 NCAA Tournament final against the Michigan Wolverines, the players and coaching staff stormed the court to celebrate their national title victory. While Pitino was making his way on to the court, cannons fired confetti on to the Georgia Dome court to help the championship atmosphere.

When the first cannon fired, Pitino was spooked and immediately ducked for cover.

As FanSided co-founder and CEO pointed out, Pitino’s reaction to cannon fire was “the most irrefutable claim yet backing up Pitino’s alleged mob ties.”

The reaction from Pitino was incredible and created a GIF that took the Internet by storm. You can watch the GIF here

Now that we are a few days removed from Louisville’s win, the GIF of his reaction was received a makeover. Deadspin shared a GIF on Thursday that mixed Pitino ducking for cover with a scene from dodgeball.

It’s just as glorious as you would think.

Here is the GIF, via Deadspin:

This is almost as great as the initial reaction.
