San Antonio Spurs Sign Tracy McGrady For Playoff Run

While NBA teams are gearing up for the post season, they are looking to position themselves so they are prepared for a deep run in the playoffs. For the San Antonio Spurs, that meant going overseas to bring in a former NBA star. Reports have surfaced that the San Antonio Spurs have signed Tracy McGrady, who most recently played for Qingdao in the Chinese Basketball Association.

McGrady worked out for the Spurs last summer before heading to China.

Per Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports:

McGrady has been playing very well in China, so it is a bit surprising that a team has not reached out to him sooner. He averaged 25 points per game for Qingdao.

When you are gearing up for a playoff run, it is always great to have as many experienced players as possible that have been to the postseason before.

Throughout his NBA career, McGrady has averaged 19.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.21 steals.
