Former BYU defensive lineman Ezekiel Ansah is expected to be one of the first players off of the board in the 2013 NFL Draft, but there is now some buzz building that teams around the league are concerned about Ansah’s actual age.
The concerns reportedly were raised after Ansah looked “old in the face” during the BYU Pro Day. If looking old raises questions, then Greg Oden surely would have never been the top pick in the NBA Draft when he went before Kevin Durant.
From ESPN’s Chris Mortensen:
Some teams still wonder about Ziggy Ansah’s age. they recently received documentation – next on NFL32, plus Tom Coughlin reax to JPP

Of course, this could very well be some false information that teams are putting out there in hopes of Ansah falling to them in the draft.
Documentation that has been provided to teams shows Ansah’s birth date as born May 29, 1989. He moved to the United States from Ghana in 2009.
Ansah didn’t come to the United States to be a professional athlete, so there is no reason for him to alter his documents. While this is the latest buzz going on now, it is highly unlikely that these concerns will affect his stock on draft day.
