With the 2013 NFL Draft just over one week ago, it is the absolute worst time to have your name listed in the “stock down” category. Unfortunately for former California Golden Bears wide receiver Keenan Allen, that is the exact situation he is facing.

Allen’s stock has been falling for months, but the NFL Scouting Combine is what really started his movement in the wrong direction.

During his individual meetings with teams at the combine, Allen reportedly had disastrous interviews and came across as a player with a “me-first” attitude. From that point on, it only got worse.

Allen ran an atrocious 40-yard dash time of 4.71 and 4.73 seconds at his Pro Day, which was followed by news of a reported failed drug test at the combine.

The red-flag that was raised with Allen’s drug test was because of unusually high water levels in his system. To be fair, Allen’s agent has vehemently denied the reports of a failed drug test.

The latest buzz surrounding Allen is that “his stock will drop significantly.”

At this point, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Allen slide out of the second-round of the draft. There was once a hope that Allen could be a first-round selection, but those are all but shattered at this point.

We will find out for sure where Allen lands in just over a week.
